Smiles

JT has been smiling a lot lately.   But it can be very tricky to capture on camera.  For example, this is a series of pictures in which Duff tried to capture one of JT's smiles.

 

Well, he got one good smile in the whole bunch.  The rest just crack me up!

Baller

A week ago, we had some of the basketball team over for dinner. JT dressed up for the occasion.

Trouble

Holy water, Batman!

While we were in Wisconsin, we had JT baptized at my home church.  It was really special to have such an important event at the same place where I attended Sunday school and confirmation and where I taught vacation bible school.  I'm glad that JT will have one memory at Trinity where I have so many memories.

It was also special because all of the Wisconsin aunts and uncles were able to attend.

And they know how to bring the party...

Good thing JT is Irish.  There will be plenty more where that come from!

One Month

So this is a little late but better late than never.

JT at one month old:

10 lbs, 2.4 ounces

22.5 inches tall

I'm posing him next to Grover for comparison purposes.  Hopefully that will help us see how much he grows each month.

Ladies Night Out

Luckily for me, while we were in the great state of Wisconsin, one of my best friends from high school had a 30th birthday party and invited all of her gal pals.  Before we went out, though, we all gathered at her parent's house to do some child show-and-tell.  I won't show the group pictures, since I know some folks don't like having their children's pictures on the internet, but I will show a montage of John's awesome poses in each of the shots.

For the 30th birthday party, we started the night with a dignified Italian dinner at one of the city's finest establishments.  We then ended the night with some undignified activities at a local dueling piano bar. Let's just say that some "big butts"  and some "remix to ignition, hot and fresh out the kitchen" made an appearance.

All in all, a good time was had by all. Except John.  He was clearly not feeling it!

Exhausted (Not Me, the Dogs)...

We just got back from a wonderful vacation to my home state of Wisconsin.  As usual when we're on vacation, I only managed to take about three pictures.  I'm sorry!  I'm too busy having fun to snap photos!  I will, however, share those three pictures later this week (if JT cooperates).

In the meantime, we need some time to recuperate.  Vacation can be exhausting!
